Yvette Schmitter Keynotes Tech 2.0 Conference In Las Vegas And Is Celebrated In New York’s Times Square For Ethical AI Leadership
Las Vegas, USA – May 7, 2026 — After delivering the headline keynote address and moderating two panel discussions at the Tech 2.0 Conference, held from April 7-9, 2026, at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Yvette Schmitter , CEO & Co-founder of Fusion Collective, was recognized in New York’s Times Square. This milestone honors Schmitter’s sustained contributions to ethical AI governance, algorithmic accountability, and responsible innovation at the enterprise and policy level.

The three-day global technology conference brought together AI leaders, technology strategists, and industry decision makers to explore intelligent systems, digital transformation, and the future of responsible AI adoption. The 2026 edition’s theme was Innovation in Overdrive: The Artificial Intelligence Race.
Schmitter's keynote, “The Coin Is Already Spinning: The Real Reasons 42% Of Companies Walked Away From AI In 2025,” challenged enterprise leaders to confront an uncomfortable reality hiding inside their own systems, while the panels she moderated, including "Diversity Is Not A Trend: How To Market Without The Cringe Factor," examined authentic representation, inclusive communication and building meaningful digital connections with audiences that have become expert at recognizing performative engagement.
Schmitter brings more than three decades of enterprise technology leadership to her work. As a Global Senior Portfolio Delivery Leader at Amazon Web Services, she led the AWS team building the foundation of the NFL's Digital Athlete platform and led cloud migration initiatives that set company records at the time of completion. As a Digital Architecture Partner at PwC, she drove enterprise digital transformation across multiple industries and client portfolios.
Having audited hundreds of AI systems and protected more than two million people from AI discrimination, Schmitter holds an ISO 42001 Lead Auditor certification, the international standard for AI management systems, alongside 10+ AWS certifications and advanced executive education credentials from Emory, UC Davis, MIT, Harvard Business School, and the Yale School of Management. Building on this foundation, Schmitter developed ETHICALENS, a proprietary diagnostic framework for identifying and remediating systemic algorithmic bias, and the Guardian Protocol, an operational methodology for embedding ethical oversight into AI-driven enterprise systems.
Beyond the enterprise, Schmitter advises U.S. Congressional leaders and UK Parliamentary committees on AI governance policy, algorithmic accountability, and the regulatory frameworks that responsible AI deployment demands. She has delivered keynotes at TEDxHarlem, AfroTech, Black Tech Fest London, and The AI Summit New York. Schmitter’s insights on AI ethics, digital dignity, and enterprise governance have been featured in publications, including Forbes, The New York Times, CBS News, and CIO, and are explored in her newsletter and on her podcast, The Code Breakers.
Through all she does, Schmitter continues to build the case that AI governance is not a compliance checkbox but the critical infrastructure that determines whether AI systems earn or destroy the trust of the people they affect.

Her Times Square feature underscores Yvette’s contributions to ethical AI leadership, responsible innovation, and advancing conversations around fairness and accountability in digital systems.
